With over 30 years of teaching experience, Ms. Souza founded the Academy in 2015 with the vision of providing quality instruction, creative and innovative choreography and a strong sense of community and team building.
As a former studio owner, Tara's 20+ years of dance experience provide our students with focus on strength, technique, endurance and FUN. Her award winning choreography is always a showstopper and drives our students to their potential to be proud of their achievements. She is versed in instructing students of all levels, from beginner to advanced competitive teams.
Britnie started dancing not long after walking and hasn't stopped since. She began instructing during high school and earned her degree with a minor in dance from RIC. She has since been an asset in assisting to launch our studio and continuing to help it grow. The combination of her love for dance and children makes her a calm and positive role model, helping to build confidence in our young dancers and her students can't help but adore her.
Ceindrech Snigger is our assistant instructor. Dancing since she has been in the womb, Ceindrech dances with the teen class and assists with Tuesday and Saturday classes. She is currently a student at Roger Williams University. Basic classroom management, breaking down technique, spotting for acrobatics and remembering choreography are all part of her responsibilities, as well as sharing the gift of dance.
Alexis Von Maluski is a recent graduate of Rhode Island College, with a B.A. in Dance Performance and Youth Development. Alexis began her dance journey participating in Filipino cultural dances as a child. In her years at Rhode Island College she was a member and Co-Director of the RIC Dance Company, In 2021, Alexis was awarded the annual Lin-Manuel Miranda Fellows Scholarship and has also danced in Marta Renzi’s short film Through Mabel's Eyes 2020. Most recently, Alexis has been working with Marta Renzi on a new project 2022 and is exploring more of her own choreography.
