Policies- Important Dates

Ballet technique is a mandatory and integral class for all SDA students. It is the foundation of all dance and good technique carries over into all other genres of dance instruction.

SDA is run in 4 seasonal sessions-   Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer.  All 4 sessions are required for competitive students. Fall, Winter, Spring for all recital performing students.

Tuition may be paid by cash, check or credit card in either monthly or seasonal session installments. Monthly payments are due by the 10th of each month.                  Payments made after the 10th will be subject to a $10.00 late fee.

Please be sure to write your child’s name in the memo section on all checks for tracking purposes.

A $20.00 bank fee will be charged for any returned checks.

Students are evaluated for placement based on variables such as age, experience and mastery of specific skills to assure your child will be challenged and is in a constant state of learning and growth. Any placement adjustments will be made by the end of our Fall session in order to accommodate for preparation of the annual Spring recital.

Weekly class attendance is mandatory for all competitive students that are competing for the 2018-19 season. In the event of an unexpected illness or unavoidable absence, please notify director ASAP. We reserve the right to restrict any student from competing or performing in the event of excessive absences, regardless of previous fees paid.

Extra rehearsals are often required leading up to a competition or performance.                      The director will do her best to give enough time to plan scheduling accordingly.

Competition, conventions and Master Class fees are additional charges to our monthly tuition for competitive students, and will vary depending on the event.
